Squads announced! Sri Lanka Emerging v Bangladesh Emerging

Both Test and One-day squads have been released for the Sri Lanka Emerging Teams’ tour of Bangladesh. 

The Sri Lankan contingent will leave the island on the 16h of August, with the first One-dayer being played on the 19th of August. 

21-year-old leg-spinner Sachindu Colombage, lean right-arm seamer Shiran Fernando and the Malinga-like Nuwan Thushara have gotten their maiden call-ups for the Sri Lanka Emerging squad while Hasitha Boyagoda and Jehan Daniel have also been named for the one-dayers. Daniel is also a part of the Test squad.

Left-arm spinner Amila Aponso who was a part of the one-day squad in South Africa has found a spot in the Test squad too in this tour as Lasith Embuldeniya has been promoted to the senior squad.

Charith Asalanka will hold his position as the skipper following his success in South Africa while players like Pathum Nissanka, Minod Banuka, Ramesh Mendis and Ashen Bandara who shone in the previous tour has retained their places in both squads. 

Schoolboy, Dilshan Madushanka and all-rounder Lahiru Madushanka have been discarded while Chamika Karunaratne has only been named in the Test squad. Kamindu Mendis who was also a part of both squads in South Africa only managed to book himself a place for the one-dayers.
