Royal (4) vs Wesley (3)
Date: 13th May 2017
Time: 4pm
Venue: Royal Complex

With wins in week two (Royal over Zahira and Wesley over St. Peter’s) – number 3 and 4 on the points table collide this weekend, knowing that a slip up now could cost them the title.

Royal are a different beast in their own paddock and it will take an immense effort by the Wesley lads, if they are to get one over the Royalists at home. But if Wesley have shown us anything this season, it’s that viewers should expect the unexpected from the Double Blues.

WATCH LIVE: ROYAL V WESLEY

Royal will hope their forwards come good over a not so heavy Wesley pack; the match-up between the two back lines is one to watch out for.

Janidu Dilshan vs Avantha Lee will be one key match-up, and undoubtedly the one who gets the better out of his opponent could seal the deal for his team.

Both teams come in following wins, with Trinity beating St. Joseph’s and Isipathana beating STC, it will be a make or break week as the losers will almost certainly be out of title contention.

Trinity will be tough to overthrow in their own den but knowing the ‘big hearted’ Pathana lads, they will give it their all in a bid to retain the title they won in 2015/16.

WATCH LIVE: TRINITY V ISIPATHANA

Warren Weerakoon, the explosive, straight running centre, will be a man to watch out for following a brilliant performance against St. Joseph’s a week ago.

For Isipathana, it will be the experienced Chamod Fernando who will have to put his hand up for if they are to have any chance of beating Trinity in their home den.

St. Joseph’s (5) vs S. Thomas’ (7)

WATCH LIVE: ST.JOSEPH’S V S.THOMAS’

The key match-up between in this match will be between the two eighth men, Gihan Perera and Christian De Lile, leaders in their own right, who have been instrumental for their teams throughout the season. Both will be seeking to close out the season with a trophy secured.

Zahira (8) vs St. Peter’s (6)
Date: 13th May 2017
Time: 4pm
Venue: Zahira Grounds

Zahira host St. Peter’s in a game which both teams will be seeking to win, with hopes of evading the wooden spoon in the Cup segment.

Zahira started strong in the first round but tailed off as the season progressed due to injuries.

WATCH LIVE: ZAHIRA V ST.PETER’S

St. Peter’s on the other hand, have had an up and down first round with two surprise wins over Isipathana and Trinity but inconsistency has not helped the lads from Bambalapitiya throughout the season.
