Ahead of the crucial Asia Rugby Division I Championship, Sri Lanka will make a quick change in their three-quarter line as Lavanaga Perera will be replaced by the CR & FC wing three-quarter Sashan Mohammed.

The sudden change of personnel came after the Kandy Sports Club player Lavanga Perera chose to pull out of the tour due to a family commitment.

Thus, the next available player on stand-by, Sashan Mohammed was picked as a replacement and has been flown to Malaysia to join the team. The 26-year-old former Trinitian and CR & FC player is set to make his debut for the Sri Lanka XVs in this Asia Rugby Division I Championship in Malaysia.

Sri Lanka will play their first game on the 14th of May.
