Meeting after meeting has been held by the Sri Lanka Schools’ Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA ) to solve the conflict of a neutral venue for the Milo President’s Trophy finals between Isipathana College and Royal College, which was supposed to be held at Royal Complex this Saturday 09th July.
Speaking to ThePapare.com, Isipathana College team Manager stated that Isipathana had only requested a venue change and not a date change and that Isipathana was not willing to play the match on the 16th of July as confirmed by the SLSRFA previously.
As per the latest meeting held this morning, the Minister of Education has spoken with both the Royal College and Isipathana College committees and instructed the principals that the match should be held before the 16th July 2016 as some of Isipathana’s players are scheduled to play for the Sri Lanka U18 team and practices will be ongoing.
The venue for the encounter has still not been decided.
