Rahmy Mohamed successfully completed the Football Administration Certificate Course conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in collaboration with World Academy of Sport.

Rahmy, who is currently employed at the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) as the Manager for Human Resources, Club Licensing and Regional Development successfully completed and graduated with a Merit Pass.

Rahmy Mohamed becomes the 1st Sri Lankan to take part in this Football Administration Course and complete it successfully. 24 participants representing 19 Asian countries took part in this 3rd edition of the course.

The course was divided into three (3) sessions and lasted for 9 months. The 1st session was held from 31st July to 2nd August 2017, the 2nd session from 20th to 22nd November 2017 and the final session was held on 2nd & 3rd April 2018. The Graduation Ceremony was held on 4th April 2018 at the AFC Head Quarters.

The main contents of the course covered The Organization of World Football, Finance Management, Strategic Management, Income Generation in Football, Media and Communications, Event Management and Football Management.

“It was a well worthy course. I got the chance to learn from some expertise from the World Academy of Sports who do have wealth of experience in World Football. Also, I worked with some other National Football Association officials throughout Asia which helped me to share our experiences amongst us.”

“I personally believe this course has given me plenty of core knowledge which I have not learned earlier and I believe I will be able to apply the things which I have learned here in Sri Lanka Football. I hope this will help me to move towards the right target in my career as well as the vision of FFSL,” he added.
