Oshane Thomas, the Jamaican fast bowler, has been added as the 14th member of the Windies squad ahead of the second Test against England, starting on January 31 in Antigua.

Thomas, who has played four ODIs and six T20Is so far, has picked up 17 first class wickets at an average of 34.76. The tearaway quick bowler was picked as a cover for Alzarri Joseph for the first Test in Barbados. Incidentally, Joseph, who picked up three scalps in the first Test, was returning from a back injury.

After posting a crushing 381-run win in the first Test in Barbados, the home side has retained the rest of the squad for the Antigua Test.

“Oshane Thomas was with us in Barbados as cover and he has been added to the squad as the 14th player and will remain with the team as an additional fast bowler. We were all extremely happy with the great result in the first Test. We want to see them put in another solid performance in the second match in Antigua, where we won last year,” Courtney Browne, the chairman of selectors said.
