The appointment comes weeks ahead of the much anticipated league kickoff as St. Peter’s will be eyeing for silverware which they missed by just one-point last year. They did manage to defend their Milo Presidents trophy knockout by defeating Wesley in the final.

Fourth year player Yohan plays as a third-row and as a second row player. He was instrumental in the team’s performance last year and played a key role in the Peterite forward pack. His turnovers in the breakdown and his experience will be a key strength to his team. He is a good ball carrier and will be a vital asset for the Peterites.

The tall prop forward Senura Perera and the utility back Dilshan Madushanka will be side’s deputies as they expect to bring more silverware back to St. Peter’s.

Utility back – Dilshan Madushanka

Senura will play a huge role in the front as his height, aggression, ball carrying and the defensive workload he performs will be huge boost for the Bamba Brigade.

Dilshan will be the go to man for the Peterites in the back line as he could play in any position. He alongside with Thenuka Nanayakkara, Ishan Fernando and the rest of backs could be the back line to keep an eye on in the league.

Can St. Peter’s who lost the league by a whisker in 2019 bring back the trophy to Bambalapitiya for the first time since 2010?
