Minister of Sports Hon.Dayasiri Jayasekara and Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) President and Secretary met with EB Channa, who was in the media in recent weeks due to his current status of the plight and to discuss his future.
Minister had urged Channa to forget the past, think about the future and to turn over a new leaf in his life.
He further stated that the Ministry will provide maximum support and that Channa will be offered a job at the Matara Football Complex.
Channa thanked the Minister for looking into this matter.
Channa has represented Sri Lanka in numerous matches while scoring a number of goals while also winning trophies in the domestic scene with Ratnam SC and Negombo Youth SC and is currently playing for Blue Star SC from 2015.
