Junior Tennis Initiative Perera and Sons

A media conference was held today to launch the Junior Tennis initiative, their new logo and a new sponsorship worth 4 million rupees from Perera and Sons.
Perera and Sons have come forward to sponsor the Junior Tennis initiative for the next 3 years to help improve the quality of tennis in the country by letting children get involved at a young age in the game and allowing them to play in their own category which is Under 10.

This initiative was also sponsored by Dunlop as they contributed by making special lightweight rackets and colourful tennis balls which the youngsters would find appealing. SLTA has also created smaller courts and nets to suit the age category to allow the children to truly enjoy the sport. These changes were done with the hopes of kindling a passion for tennis at a very early age.
