This is the first time any sporting event that is under governance of the International Military Sports Council is brought to Sri Lanka and the organizers at the Air Force along with Eagles’ Golf Links is proud to host the event. The state of the art course is Sri Lanka’s fourth golf course and the only one along Sri Lanka’s east coast and was inaugurated in 2012.

The 18-hole course offers nearly seven kilometers of challenging and unique rounds of golf for a par of 72. This very course will host the 200 golfers from 11 countries along with local golfers, 9 in total, starting Sunday. The CISM World Championship is one of the 24 other sporting events that is scheduled in the 2017 Armed Forces Sports Calendar and China Bay has made the cut in hospitality.
The finals and closing ceremony of the tournament will take place in the eve of 17th with Chief Admiral Ravindra Wijegunratne of the Defense Services and Director Air Vice Marshall S.K Pathirana will grace the occasion.
