Nalanda College managed to take honors in their Group C encounter against St. Servatius’ College, which ended in a draw today at Nalanda College Grounds in Colombo. Dineth Samaraweera, Mahima Weerakoon and Raveen de Silva shone with the ball for the hosts, taking 4-wicket hauls.

Royal College, Colombo vs St. Anthony’s College, Kandy 

The traditional encounter between Royal College and St. Anthony’s College commenced today at Royal College Grounds in Colombo. After being put into bat first, the hosts could not put on an impressive batting display as they were bundled out for 157 runs. 

The right-handed batsman Thevindu Senarathne scored a half-ton with the bat for the hosts, but it was the left arm leg spinner Nimnaka Jayathilaka who became the star of the day by taking 5 scalps for 32 runs for the visitors. In reply, the visitors also struggled with the bat as they finished day one on 70 runs for 7 wickets.
