The MCA Cricket Development Committee and MCA Tournament Committee have organized the 14th edition of the Inter Academy U13 and U15 30-over tournaments which are scheduled to take place from the 7th to the 21st of December 2019.
Panadura and SSC clinch MCA finals
Both tournaments are held in commemoration of the MCA Cricket Academy’s 17th Anniversary Celebrations.
A total of 94 matches will be played in the tournament in a ground in Colombo, Ratmalana and Kotte between 20 teams in each age category.
The said teams in each age category will be pooled in to 4 groups with the top 2 teams from each group moving forward to the knockout stages of the tournament.
Singer- MCA league T20 tournament postponed
In 2018, the U13 tournament was won by CCC as they beat MCA Blue in the final by 8 wickets while NCC won the U15 tournament, beating Hemantha Ranasinghe CA by 6 wickets in the final.
The handing over of the sponsorship cheque by DFCC Bank and the media conference in relation to the tournaments was held on Thursday, 28th November at the MCA Fine Dining Restaurant “The Pitch”.
