The Football Federation of Sri Lanka has arranged selection trials for the Sri Lanka National U23 Men’s pool for the upcoming AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers.
Sri Lanka is drawn in group A alongside Islamic Republic of Iran, Oman and Kyrgyz Republic for the qualifiers which will take place from 19th to 23rd July 2017.
Sri Lanka in 2018 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers
Sri Lanka was drawn in group A of the AFC U23 Championship China 2018 Qualifiers at the official draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday.
Players who are born on or after 1st January 1995 are eligible for the trials.
Trials will be held in six Provinces on the specified dates below.
Northern Province
1st – 2nd April – Kilinochchi & Mulativu – St.Anthony’s Playground, Irrayakulam – 8.00am
3rd – 4th April – Vadamarachchi & Point Pedro – Nelliyadi Central College, Nelliyadi – 8.00am
5th – 6th April – Valikamam & Jaffna – FFSL Training Centre, Ariyalai – 8.00am
7th – 8th April – Mannar & Vavuniya – Mannar Urban Council Grounds – 8.00am
Eastern Province
20th – 21st April – Trincomalee, Mutur, Kinniya, Kuchchaveli – Ehambaram Grounds, Trincomalee – 8.00am
22nd – 23rd April – Batticaloa, Ampara & Kathankudy – Webber Stadium, Batticaloa – 8.00am
Central Province
29th – 30th April – Gampola, Nawalapitiya, Matale, Badulla, Bandarawela, Awissawella, Mawanella, Kegalle – TBC – 8.00am
North Western Province
6th – 7th May – Chilaw, Puttalam, Wennapuwa, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa – Maligapitiya Grounds, Kurunegala – 8.00am
