India blind cricket team defeated Sri Lanka blind cricket team by 7 wickets in the first T20 encounter of the 5 match series and took a 1-0 lead in the tournament.

Indian skipper won the toss and opted to bowl first at BRC ground in Colombo. The hosts managed to post 168 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sri Lankan batsmen Ruwan Wasantha (39) and Chandana Deshapriya (24) top scored for Sri Lanka.

Chasing 169 runs to win, the Indians got off to a flying start as the in-form batsman Sunil Ramesh stroked an unbeaten half century to guide his team to a convincing 7 wicket victory. Ganesh Muhudkar also supported him scoring valuable 34 runs. Indian batsman Sunil Ramesh was adjudged the man of the match.
