The top four teams through to the Semifinals are Royal College, Prince of Whales College, St. Peter’s College and St. Anthony’s College. The matches are scheduled to kick off on the 26th of January.

St. Anthonys College, Kandy vs St. Josephs College, Colombo

The juniors of St. Joseph’s college won the toss and invited their opposition to field first, which may have been a faulty start to the game. The youngsters from hill capital batted well throughout the day, putting 229 runs for the loss of 8 wickets within the 101 overs.

Savindu Athukorala was the highest scorer for St. Anthony’s College, managing to put up 74 runs* while Mohomad Sahad scored half century himself with 54 runs on the board. Abdullah Abubakkar and Iduwara Galapita logged 25 and 21 runs under their names respectively. Dinuk Serasinghe chipped in with 3 wickets for 41 runs while Kaveen Pathirana (2/28) and Sesandu Pathinayake (2/38) shared 4 wickets between them.

The match ended in a draw and St. Anthonys College, Kandy qualified for the Semi-Finals on the aggregate tally.
