SLTA becomes Sri Lanka’s first automated sports authority

The Sri Lanka Tennis Association announced a new tennis development initiative in 2018, which aims to completely automate the SLTA administration by introducing a cloud accessed digitized platform for its stakeholders.

The digitization process kick started on the 27th December 2018 with SLTA president Mr. Iqbal Bin Issack inaugurating the SLTA players registration system at the SLTA Office with NOC President and former president of SLTA Suresh Subramaniam gracing the monumental occasion.

After successfully completing the first phase of the digitization, Sri Lanka Tennis has conquered its second course of action – automated draws and results on the sltennis.lk website.

The first tournament of the year, Ele Open 2019, was evident to the new change and was the launch of the new automated system. All the draws in the event were made automatically and same were available on the website.

“It’s a big step for SLTA turning fully automated with competition, which is only the second tennis federation in Asia, to have achieved such a distinction. Vice president SLTA, Mr Suresh Subramaniam has been the catalyst behind this introduction” opined Mr. Iqbal Bin Isaac, President of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association, on the project.
