14 universities are drawn into four groups. The 2017 champions, University of Sri Jayawardenapura (UoSJ), who will be looking to make it five wins in a row, are in Group A long side Wayamba University and South-Eastern University.
Group B has last year’s runners-up University of Jaffna, University of Visual and Performing Arts and Ruhuna University.
University of Colombo, Uva Wellassa University, Sabaragamuwa University and Eastern University are in group C. University of Colombo were placed 3rd last year.
Group D comprises of University of Kelaniya, University of Moratuwa, University of Peradeniya and Rajarata University.
