Colts vs BRC

Former Josephian and Sri Lanka A cricketer Priyamal Perera went on to record his second consecutive unbeaten double hundred against BRC.

Following from his unbeaten 206* against Badureliya SC a few day back, Perera – known as ‘Bullet’ in the domestic circuit – went on to remain unbeaten exactly on 200* to lift Colts to a commanding 391 all-out.

He was also involved in a staggering last wicket stand of 132 runs with Praveen Jayawickrama as the duo frustrated the BRC bowlers for a lengthy part of day two.

Rumesh Buddika made 62 for BRC in their reply, but they ended the day on 208/7 with Akila Dananjaya – bowling with a slightly remodeled action – capturing 3/50.

CCC vs Badureliya

CCC were in command at close on day two in their encounter against Badureliya Sports Club.

Wanindu Hasaranga’s 5 wicket haul restricted Badureliya to 248 all-out, after CCC made a solid 378 batting first. Hasaranga completed a solid all-round effort after he made 82 in their batting effort.

CCC batting a second time around ended the day on 34/0, 164 runs ahead of Badureliya SC.

Half centuries from Ashen Bandara and Nipun Karunanayake helped Saracens secure a first innings lead against Negombo Cricket Club.

Saracens ended the day on 228/7 in reply to Negombo CC’s 216 all-out. Upul Indrasiri was the most impressive bowler for the boys from Negombo capturing 4/64.

NCC made a strong come back after conceding a first innings lead to Sri Lanka Ports Authority to end the day 217 runs ahead with 7 wickets in hand.

Chathuranga de Silva, Mahela Udawatte and Lahiru Udara made half centuries for NCC who are missing some of their key players due to national duty.

Earlier in the day SLPA were bowled out for 230 thanks to Primosh Perera’s 76 and an unbeaten half century from former Nalandian Adeesha Nanayakkara.

Moors vs Tamil Union

Mr. Consistent Sachithra Serasinghe’s marathon knock helped Tamil Union go ahead of Moors SC’s first innings total of 326 all-out.

Serasinghe went on to make 160 while Tharanga Paranavithana chipped in with a half century as Tamil Union ended day two on 336/6.

Ramesh Mendis who made 76 for Moors was the only bowler to impress as he captured two wickets after a lengthy spell of off spin.
