The level III matches of the 51st Senior Nationals Tournament got underway in Polonnaruwa and Killinochci. Here`s a look at who beat who in Polonnaruwa.

In the match between Trincomalee District BA v Manner District BA, Trincomalee lads cruised through to the victory as the final scorecard read 63-13. Anuradhapura District BA in their first match beat Kaluthara District BA 55-30. In the match between Matale District BA v Polonnaruwa District BA, Matale District BA won the game 46-23.
In the match between Badulla District BA v Polonnaruwa District BA, Badulla District BA defeated the home team comfortably. The final scores read 77-31. It was Badulla District BA who led the game at the end of the maiden quarter twenty-five points to zero. Polonnaruwa District BA barely managed to scored eleven points in the second quarter as the game was halted for halftime when the scoreboard read 41-11 in favor of the visitors.

With the senior nationals basketball championship commencing on the 3rd of February to 18th February we give you a chance to select your favorite team.
The third quarter was a nightmare to the home team as they only managed to bag four points while the opposition went onto a score a mammoth seventeen. Badulla District BA continued their sublime form and added another nineteen points in the final quarter and won the game by a margin of forty points. Rajapakse managed to add seventeen points to winners while Bathiya Kanchana chipped in with another six points.
Mullaitivu District BA won against Kaluthara District BA in their game as the final scorecard read 63-41. Kaluthara District BA only managed six points in the first quarter as the opponents went onto score fourteen points. Mullaitivu District BA dominated proceedings as they went on to score nineteen, twelve and eighteen points for the next three quarters respectively. Kaluthara District BA only managed nine, eighteen and eight points.
Halftime socres were in favor for the boys from north 33-15. Vinura Kashyapa doing most of the scoring for Kaluthara District BA adding fifteen points. For the winners it was Vaikunthorason Logithan, scoring twenty points led the game upfront.
Mullaitivu Distirct BA took on Anuradhapura District BA in their second game for the day but failed to put the same performance as they walked away in despair when the final scorecard read 32-60. Even though Mullaitivu District BA led the game by a couple of points at the end of the first quarter, they only managed to add three points for the second quarter which took the game away from them. Halftime scores read 13-28 in favor of the northern central lads.
For Anuradhapura District Moditha Lakshan added fourteen points while Aloka Kamathawatta managed six points. For the northern lads it was Vaneshalingam Vinujan who scored twenty points.
Anuradhapura District BA recorded their hat trick win when they beat Mannar District BA as the full time scorecard read 60-14.
