Women’s shooters bagged two Silver Medals while Suranga Kumara won the Bronze Medal in the Triathlon at the 2016 South Asian Games.

Sri Lanka women’s team won the Silver Medal in the 50M Rifle (3 Positions) event. The team of W.M.S.Y. Perera, K.K.G. Perera and G.G.U.N.Ruparathna scored a total of 1686 points while India who won the Gold scored 1726 points.

Sri Lanka Men’s team won the Bronze Medal in the 10M Air Pistol event. The team of S.Fernando, M.P.Pathirana, D.M.S.M.Dissanayake scored 1663 points while Pakistan won the Silver with 1700 points and India the Gold with 1735 points.
Sri Lanka women’s team of A.I.D.A.Kulathunga, K.S.C.G.Kendawala and W.A.N.M. Weerakkodi won the Silver Medal in the 25M Sports Pistol event scoring 1654 points. India won the Gold scoring 1741 points.
