Devapathiraja College “A” Rathgama cruised to the quarter finals with a win over Nalanda College “A” on points basis with the help of an unbeaten century from Pawan Sandesh In the pre quarter final stage of the Singer Under 13 Division I Cricket Tournament. Pawan Sandesh who has been having an excellent season was backed up by Jeewaka Shasheen (51 n.o). Declaring at 253/4 in 64 overs, the lads from Rathgama were able to put Nalanda College in a spot of trouble with Shehan Hasaranga taking 3/09 with play been stopped with the score 86/7.

The boys from Reid Avenue were bolstered with a stellar performance by Sineth Jayawardhana (102) with the bat who was complimented by Thevithu Hansaja (69). Declaring at 267/5, Royal College had Mahinda College in shambles losing 3 early wickets and with the help of Thevithu Hansaja 2/09, who was having good game with the bat and ball. Play stopped with the score reading 98/6 for Mahinda College.
