Sanjula Abaywickrama and Ayana Siriwardena notched up impressive half centuries as Isipathana College, Colombo ended day one in a commanding style with a handsome 281 all out against Lumbini College, Colombo at BRC grounds.
After winning the toss, Lumbini College invited the Pathanians to take first lease of the wicket. Isipathana College duly obliged piling on the runs from the onset. Captain Thanuka Dabare was the shining light for Lumbini as he bagged an impressive 5/60 to lead the attack from the front.

Batting first Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda racked up a mammoth 310 all out in their first innings spearheaded by a classy century from Ravindu Rashantha in their Group C game in Anuradhapura.
Captain Ushan Imantha provided ample support in the middle order remaining unbeaten on 65 as Sithum Niluminda bagged a 5 for in an impressive bowling performance for Anuradhapura MMV.
In response the Anuradhapura lads stuttered in their pursuit of the immense total put up by their opponents. Dananjaya Tammita was the lone ranger for Anuradhapura as he remained unbeaten on 70 at the close of play.

President’s College Kotte was manhandled by a scintillating bowling performance from Maliyadeva College Kurunegala as the former was bundled out for a mediocre 155 in their group D match at Bloomfield Grounds.
Sanjeewa Priyadharshana wreaked havoc as he dismantled the President’s batting ending up figures of 6/21. In response, Maliyadeva carried on with their momentum ending day 1 at 197/4 with Dulaj Ranatunge unbeaten on a well complied 84, ably supported by skipper Damitha Silva on 56.

Maris Stella College v Bandaranayake College
Maris Stella College, Negombo had no remorse for a hapless Bandaranayake outfit as they demolished their batting effort for a mere 134 runs in their group D match in Kadirana.
Skipper Sachindu Colombage capped four scalps as Ravindu Fernando played second fiddle with three wickets. Batting in their first innings Maris Stella left little room for error as they ended day 1 at 165/4, thanks to Sri Lanka U19 player Lasith Croosepulle who was unbeaten just two runs short of a well deserved ton.
