The Dialog Inter Club Sevens 2019 is all set kickoff at the Racecourse Stadium this weekend (29th & 30th June) for some scintillating, fast rugby as 16 teams ready themselves to compete against each other.
This year, 3 teams from the lower division have earned their right to go up against the front runners of the game. Malay CC, Galle RFC and Peterson RFC will make their debut in the ‘A’ Division after performing exceptionally well in the lower tier, last year.
After a failed 2-legged tournament in 2018, Sri Lanka Rugby and the organizing committee have gone back to the usual format of finishing the competition in 2 days.
Defending Champions, CH & FC will field two teams this time as well, along with 2 teams from each of the forces.
The teams are grouped as follows:

After the first day’s action, the top two teams of each group will qualify for the Cup, whilst the rest battle it out for the Plate, Bowl and Shield.
