Kanrich Finance registered their first win in the ‘26th Singer-MCA’ Premier League, against a strong Commercial Credit team at the MCA Grounds in Colombo.

Kanrich Finance, who suffered heavy defeats in their previous two matches, made a very strong comeback today.

Sadeera, Angelo and Milantha score big; LB, JKH and Silueta register wins

Commercial Credit who was put into to bat by Kanrich Finance, scored 256 runs before being bowled out in 46.4 over’s. All-rounder’s Lahiru Madushanka and Chathuranga de Silva scored half-centuries for Commercial Credit.

Chasing down the target, Oshadha Fernando stood up for Kanrich Finance, scoring a match-winning century to guide his team to their first win of the tournament.

MAS Silueta vs John Keells Holdings

 

MAS Silueta registered their second win of the league, in the match worked off at the Surrey Village Grounds in Maggona.

After being put in to bat first, MAS Silueta scored a formidable score of 260 for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 50 over’s, thanks to a brilliant century by Sangeeth Cooray. He was well supported by Salinda Ushan who made 53. For John Keells, all-rounder Jehan Daniel grabbed 5 wickets for 49 runs.

In reply, John Keells were bowled out for 228 runs in just 37.3 over’s, with Nimnada Subasingha, Nuwan Pradeep and Buddhika Sanjeewa picking up 3 wickets apiece.

For John Keells Dimuth Karunaratne scored 76 runs, once again showing his ability to bat in ODI cricket.

LB Finance continued their winning streak with an easy 9-wicket win over Hayley’s at the P. Sara Oval, in Colombo.

Rajeewa and Sadeera shine in second win for LB Finance

Lahiru Thirimanne made 84, before Hayley’s were bundled out for only 172-runs batting first.

In reply, LB Finance cruised to the required target with in-form Sadeera Samarawickrama and Charith Asalanka remaining unbeaten on 80 and 81 runs respectively.

Dimo edged past Sampath Bank to register a thrilling 3-wicket win at the De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa.

Batting first after winning the toss, Sampath Bank managed to score only 185 runs in 43.4 overs. Charitha Buddhika scored 55, while Matheesha Perera was the chief destroyer of the Sampath Bank innings picking up 4 wickets.

Ramesh Mendis made sure Dimo won the match with an unbeaten 54 as Dimo lost 7 wickets in their heated run-chase, while Pramud Heetiwatte remained unbeaten on 36.
