The Golden State Warriors managed to escape with a win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, the final score reading 108-105. Having trailed for almost the entire period of play, the 76ers’ comeback saw the score tied, at 105-105. However, the Warriors managed to deliver flawlessly under pressure, as they have done thus far this season; Harrison Barnes sunk a 3 pointer with 0.2 seconds to go in the game. Barnes, was left open on the right corner for the shot, as the defense focused on trapping Stephen Curry, in the hope that he would go for the winning shot. Klay Thompson was the highest scorer for the Warriors with 32pts.
Lakers honour brain cancer fighter
Before the game against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night, the Lakers signed Make-a-Wish Foundation recipient Yitzi Teichman to a one-day contract. The brain cancer fighter got a No. 18 jersey and got his seat on the Laker’s bench for the entire game.
Irving leads Cavs to win over Pacers in OT
The Cleveland Cavaliers emerged victorious in a rare road win over the Indiana Pacers in overtime on Monday. Kyrie Irving led the scoring for Cleveland with 24 points. The Cavs led 60-49, at halftime, but a strong defensive effort made sure that the Pacers stayed in the game. However Irving’s stellar game in the 5 minutes of overtime, scoring 6 points, ensured that the Pacers never got a chance to lead again, and secured the win for his team. The final score read 111-106
Season high for Kobe
The Lakers’ veteran Kobe Bryant, summoned his skills together once again, to lift the LA Lakers onto his shoulders one more time. Kobe put on quite a show, hitting seven 3 pointers, securing a Lakers win over the Minnesota Timberwolves; despite the demoralizing win-loss record in his farewell season. He amassed a total of 38 points; his best thus far this season. This ended the 14 game losing streak for the Lakers, the final score reading 119-115.
Hawks rout the 76ers
Tim Hardaway Jr. and Mike Scott, with 13 points apiece, led the Atlanta Hawks to a 123-86 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. All 13 players scored and eight players ended with double figures. The 76ers have the worst record in the NBA this season (7-42 as at 2/2), losing 12 games by 20 or more points.
Curry sets takes Washington to town with 51 points
MVP Stephen Curry, carried the Golden State Warriors towards a comfortable victory over the Washington Wizards, 134-121, on Wednesday night. He ended the game with a massive 51 points, scoring 11 from beyond the arc. This was the Warriors 8th consecutive win. Washington’s John Wall scored 41.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, ended their 14 game losing streak, with a 108-102 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. Andrew Wiggins was the top scorer for the Wolves with 31 points.

Avery Bradley’s 3 pointer from the left corner saw the Boston Celtics overcome the Cavaliers on Friday night, 104-103. After blowing a seven point lead in the last 3 minutes, the Celtics still trailed by four with 7 seconds left; until things magically started to go their way.
Whiteside’s triple double secures Heat win over the Hornets
Miami Heat beat the Charlotte Hornets, 98-95 on Friday. Miami center Hassan Whiteside played an exceptional role in his team’s victory ending the game with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks.
