Dimo recorded a convincing 4 wicket win over the fancied John Keels outfit in the second quarter final worked off at the NCC grounds in Colombo today(26).

The win was initiated by the Dimo bowlers who restricted their opponents to just 117 runs before their batsmen got them home with nine balls to spare.

Right handed batsman Dinuk Wickramanayake stroked a brilliant half century to lead Sampath Bank to a convincing five wicket win over HNB at the MCA ground.

Earlier in the day, veteran all-rounder Hasantha Fernando picked up 3 wickets for Sampath Bank before returning with the bat to make a useful 22 runs.

MAS Active vs Commercial Credit

Commercial Credit continued their good form from the 50 over format as they overcame MAS Active by a comfortable eight wickets and ten balls to spare.

But the day was all about the return of Sri Lanka’s ace fast bowler Lasith Malinga for MAS Active, as he returned to competitive cricket after a lengthy duration due to injury. He bowled his quota of four overs but did not pick up any wickets on his return.
