The sixth edition of the Hill Club Tennis Championship will come alive this April in the atmospheric upcountry city of Nuwareliya with the games commencing on the 9th of April 2016.
The tournament being one of the most prestigious tournaments in the country will be one of the ranking tournaments held in line with the governing body of tennis; the Sri Lanka Tennis Association, while the tournament will go on for a span of seven days with the active participation of 90 registered players.
Fifteen trophies will be on offer during the tournament ranging from the junior Under 14 level to the prized open title. SML Frontier, the sole authorized partner for Land Rover in Sri Lanka will continue their sponsorship to empower the ranking tournament this year as well. Commenting on the partnership, Sheran Fernando the Managing Director stated these words; “Land Rover is proud to continue and strengthen our partnership with this ranking tournament which is one of the most prestigious events of the Nuwareliya season”
This tournament will surely be an eye opener for the young entrants to the racket game and will provide them the opportunity of performing at a ranking level to start their climb to be prospective national players.
The matches will commence at 9.30 a.m. on each day at the Hill Club Nuwareliya.
