Windies’ Kraigg Brathwaite has been reported for a suspect bowling action after the first Test against England. The match officials at Edgbaston, including Marais Erasmus and S. Ravi as on-field umpires, third umpire Chris Gaffaney and match referee David Boon, had cited their concerns over the legality of the 24-year-old’s action to the Windies team management.

Brathwaite, a part-time off spinner, bowled six overs in Windies’ innings and 209-run defeat in the series opener. He can continue to bowl in international cricket for now but will however have to undergo testing within 14 days to check the legality of his action.

Brathwaite has picked up 12 wickets in Tests, including a six-wicket haul against Sri Lanka in 2015.
