ANC wins inaugural ‘ACBT 10s’

 

 

The inaugural ACBT 10’s tournament was worked off last weekend (18th December) and ANC ran out clear winners in the final beating Colombo University by a thumping 29 points to nil.

The winners who remained unbeaten throughout the tournament rallied round their inspirational skipper Rishitha Peiris to claim the silver wear. ANC skipper and center Rishitha Peiris was adjudged as the most promising player of the tournament having played a major role in ANC’s winning campaign during the tournament.

The ANC side which comprised of some talented players made easy work of their opponents in the finals having led 14 nil at half time. Shenal Dias, Steven Nelson, Hasith Kalupathirana, Bilal Hassen, Daninunda Silva, Vishwajith Wijesinghe, Ghazali Ifthikar and Angelo Hettiarachchi were the star performers for the cup champs.

Colombo University had a commendable outing as well defeating host ACBT and ICBT in the lead up to the final. The Plate finals did not take place as both teams; ICBT and IBM refrained from playing. The Bowl final was won by SLIIT beating host ACBT by 7 points to 5.
