The inaugural ACBT (Australian College of Business and technology) 10’s tournament will take place this Sunday 18th December at the Havelock’s sports club.

9 teams have so far confirmed their participation in the tournament with the host team and SLIIT fielding 2 teams each. The first round matches will be played on a league basis with a knock out round to follow.

Speaking to the chief organizer of the ACBT 10’s committee Yohan Wickramasinghe stated that their main intention is to create good relationships between its students and students of other universities while also promoting the game of rugby. “We have taken part in many 7’s tournaments during the recent past and we felt that we need to have one of our own”.

“This tournament serves as a perfect platform for players to showcase their talent” ended Yohan.

Participating teams are as follows

ANC, ICBT, SLIIT ‘A’, SLIIT ‘B’, ACBT ‘A’, ACBT ‘B’, NIBM, University of Colombo, University of Sri Jayawardenepura
