A relatively young Sri Lanka netball team left the island recently to take part in a series of matches in Singapore.
The Fair
Price Foundation Nations Cup 2011 organised by Netball Singapore is being held from 5-11th December at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Singapore. The team took wing to gain experience ahead of the Asian Championship. They were able to win their final match after a series of 6 matches against a much tougher competition.
5th December 2011 - Singapore v Sri Lanka –
Singapore won 73- 36

6th December 2011 - Sri Lanka v Fiji
The superior Fijians thrashed the young Sri Lankan side 81 -24

Sri Lanka put up a good fight against Malaysia but succumbed 69-44

Namibia beat Sri Lanka 77-49

Papua New Guinea held Sri Lanka to a close margin
