‘The All-rounders wheel unit organizes a one of a kind mountain biking event this weekend “EXTREMITY 2011” Off-road super D-mountain biking.

• Date: - 10th of December 2011. (Poya day)

• Time: - 8.00 am – 6.30 pm.

• Venue: - "MonsterDrome" Downhill Track – Kesbewa, Kondurawa

According to Devin Jayasekara the chief organizer of the event “EXTREMITY” is the real mountain biking experiencing in Sri Lanka. Their MONSTERDROME DOWNHILL TRACK is the only one under the “SUPER- D “grade. It is situated in a picturesque environment and it is created to ensure the competitors safety. So it may give adventurous energetic experience arousing curiosity to all spectators.

Super -D is formed as a combination of Downhill mountain biking and cross country races. Speaking to the event organizer Devin Jayasekara stated that with the situation in Sri Lanka, they are unable to reach directly to the Downhill Biking because the equipment needed is expensive and only a very few bicycles are available in Sri Lanka.

The track was constructed in the mixture of 55% of downhill mountain biking and 45% of Cross country races. Other races conducted in Sri Lanka are Limited only to the normal mountain biking and not up to the standard for an event of this sort. Their track is completed with the features of jumps, cliffs, drops, ramps, obstacles, berms, bridges and swamps.

The “Allrounders” Wheel Unit was founded in 2009 with only 3 members, who were passionate about mountain biking. They were able to increase the numbers of the members within a short period, mainly due to the interest gathered around from biking enthusiast.Since the inception they have been trying to introduce Mountain Biking to Sri Lanka.
