7th Ladies College vs. Bishops College Hockey Encounter

 

The Ladies’ College vs. Bishops College Hockey Encounter will take place at the Police Park Grounds this Friday the 1st of July. This will be the 7th such encounter, and will be an interesting one to watch, as Ladies’ College has won the first 5 encounters, and last year it ended up as a tie.

Both teams are looking confident as they prepare for this battle, having gained a lot of valuable experience, over the matches held in the past few months. Ladies College will be captained by Ronali Goonetileke, an experienced Second Row, who will be playing a vital role in this match. She will have the support from her V.Captains Neshika De Silva and Thamali Dharmawardena. As well as the rest of the experienced colours women Senuri Perera, Nadisha Wijemanne, Shehanza Azmi, and Anjali Mandawala.

Bishops College will be captained by Sarala Senanayake, It’s her 7th year in the sport of hockey, and much will be expected from her. She will have Melisha Wickramanayake has her V.captain, and will also be backed by Thilini Herath, Hashanthi Madugalle, Buddhini Fernando, Sachitra Munasinghe and Amira Ghaffoor who recently got selected for the Colombo Schools team.
