Bharti Airtel ties up with Manchester United

 

Bharti Airtel a leading a global telecommunication company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa announced today it’s tie-up with Manchester Utd. football club to bring a variety of benefits to the Airtel soccer loving customers in Sri Lanka.

These benefits will provide the customers and the country with access to exclusive mobile content, match experiences and much more. The announcement was made by Airtel spokesperson Bharat Bambawale Director global branding Bharti Airtel along with the presence of Manchester United legends Bryan Robson and Dwight Yorke in Colombo earlier today. Mr. Bambawale speaking to the media stated, “Machester United is a powerful global brand which enjoys a cult following across the world”. “And we’re exited today to announce our association with the club for all our football loving customers in Sri Lanka”.

“Through our tie up with Manchester United in this market we look forward to bringing millions of fans in Sri Lanka closer to the action packed world of football”. Also commenting on the occasion Ricki Thussu (Relationship Director Manchester United) said, “We at Manchester Utd. Are delighted to be here and kick off this exciting association with Airtel”. “This partnership is symbolic of collaboration of two global brands both known to be among the best in their respective fields coming together for their common passion, Soccer.

As part of this association customers in Sri Lanka will get exclusive access to exciting and rich Manchester Utd. Football content on their Airtel mobile phones. In addition customer will also get the opportunity to watch football matches at ‘Old Trafford’ and travel around Europe to see Manchester Utd. in the UEFA champions league.

One of the Manchester United legends present at the occasion ‘Captain Marvel’ Bryan Robson stated, “I’m extremely happy with the tie up which provides the opportunity to spread the religion that is football in Sri Lanka”.

As a kick off to this partnership Airtel will be showcasing the English Premier League trophy which is currently held by Manchester United, for football fans across Sri Lanka on the 26th and 27th of January at various customer touch points. The trophy will be at Excel world later today at 2:30pm and will then move to Majestic City at 5:00pm. The trophy will also be showcased at Kalutara Football stadium at 3:00pm tomorrow.
