It’s just a little over a week to go for the inaugural Carlton super sevens tournament and the teams are hard at training for the big event.
Event facts
1st leg-29th, 30th October
Location-Nittewela grounds Kandy
Start time- 10:00 am
According to the organising body the foreign players for the respective teams are listed to land in the country by next week to begin training with the rest of the team members. The foreign coaches too will make their way in to their particular teams next week. The training has so far being conducted by top notch local coaches who will combine with the foreign coaches to train their respective teams.
A number of 20 matches will be played during the opening day (29th) of the Carlton super 7’s 1st leg and a team will play 4 group matches each. The Carlton sports club the organisers of the event have also organised mini rugby matches during the tournament to give exposure to the school boys in the hill capital.
