Kigswood College principal and 2011 Sri Lanka schools rugby football president Ranjith Chandrasekera was re-elected as the president of the schools body at the 20th Annual General Meeting held at the Nalanda College Auditorium last Saturday (28th).

The deputy president’s post will be chaired by H. Sarathchandra Silva while the POW Moratuwa Prefect of games Susantha Mendis was elected as the secretary ahead of former schools president Densil Darling.

Chandrasekera who was appointed as the Principal of Kingswood College in 2000 has taken over from Densil Darling who was the schools association head during the year 2010. The principal from Randal Hills has played a vital part in the uplifting sports in Kingswood and his inclusion as the head of the SLSRFA would be interesting.

Mendis who was responsible for organising the interschool Western province sevens tournament last year has been appointed with N. L Waththawa taking over as the treasurer of the association. Waththawa is currently functioning as the master in charge of St. Benedict’s rugby.

The office bearers are as follows,

President - Ranjith Chandrasekara,

Deputy President - H. Sarathchandra Silva

Secretary - Susantha Mendis

Asst. Sec. - Jagath Semasinghe

Treasurer - N. L. Wethewa

Asst. Tres: Prasantha Ranaweera

Tournament Secretary - S.A. Gamini Sarathchandra.

Also seven Vice Presidents were elected.
