SSC Open Squash from the 6th-11th of December

SSC Open National ranking Squash Championship organized by the Sri Lanka Squash Federation will be held from the 6th to the 11th of December 2011 at the SSC Squash complex.

The tournament will be conducted under 17 different age groups and is expected to attract more than 300 squash players. Tournament information and rules with regard to this tournament will be as follows

RULES AND REGULATIONS

•The tournament will be conducted according to the Rules of the Asian/World Squash Federation.

•All matches will be best of 5 games of 11-points and will be played with a yellow double dot ball.

•Circuit draw will be played (From the Q-Finals), provided there are sufficient entries.

•Participants may be requested to assist in marking or refereeing of matches.

•Players are required to be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time of the match.

•A walk-over will be automatically awarded against a player failing to report on court 10 minutes after the appointed time.

•No postponement of matches will be allowed. However competitors may advance their matches with mutual consent without disrupting the tournament schedule, with the written approval of the Tournament committee.

•Any dispute pertaining to the draw, matches played, walkovers etc, and should be in writing to the Tournament committee SLSF.

•The decision of the Tournament Committee on any of the matters above or not contained above will be final.

•***Protective eye wear***

The   WSF recommends that all Squash players should wear protective eye guard/manufactured to an appropriate National standards, properly over the eyes at all times during play. It is the responsibility of the player to ensure that the quality of the product worn is satisfactory for the purpose.  Junior players will not be allowed to take part without wearing of protective eye ears.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

•This tournament will be conducted from 06th to 11th December 2011.

•All matches will be played at the SSC Squash Complex.

•Entry fees will be Rs. 250/= per event for adults and Rs200/= per event for juniors

•Entries are to be handed over direct to the SLSF office at Tamil Union.

•Closing time/date for entries is 5.00 PM Sunday 04th Nov 2011.

•Draw will be held at 7 pm on Sunday, 04th December  2011 at the SLSF secretariat at Tamil Union SC and will be displayed at the SLSF Secretariat at Tamil Union SC & at SSC squash complex  by 6pm on 05th Dec 2011
