Trinity College Kandy back from an impressive performance against SJC in their last encounter looked to carry on their form into their contest against the boys from Mahinda College Galle.

Mahinda College from the very first delivery were under pressure. As the TCK bowlers were looking for early purchase off the wicket. The bowlers of TCK absolutely dominated as Mahinda  was reduced to 130 runs off 56 overs in their first innings. For the Kandy boys Janishka Premesinghe with a quite dominating five-for put Mahinda College in deep trouble. He had ample support at the other end as Amrith and Lakshan Jayasinghe captured a couple each.

Trinity in return to the  Mahinda  total posted a massive total of 234 for in 39 overs, at a run rate of 6 runs per over. Niroshan Dikwella scored a magnificent 156 runs not out as he smashed the Mahinda College bowlers all over the field and into the stands. Niroshan played some glorious shots as he seemed to favor the offside. DinukWickramanayake scored 43 runs before he was dismissed.

Heshan Waniyaartchi and Niroshan are currently at the crease for TCK. Niroshan has absolutely out- classed the Mahinda College attack and he seems to want to add to his personal score tomorrow morning and aid his team in seeking out an outright victory.
