Navy Sports Club crushed the Colombo Basketball team in another Senior National Basketball Champiosnship match played at the St. Josephs Girls school courts today.The final scores read as 79- 34 in favour of Navy team.

The vastly experienced Navy Team took complete control of the match from the first qaurter itself giving a tough time for the young Colombo side. The Colombo team lacked momentum in the game as they got distracted couple of times while accumulating points. During the second quarter at one stage the match proved to be one sided as the Navy team was 21 points ahead of the Colombo players.

However coming back into the game with some accurate shooting by Yasara Siriwardena the Colombo side managed to bridge the gap into 12 points before half time.

At Half time the scores read 35-23 in favour of Navy.

The third quarter yet again proved to be one sided as the Navy team restrcited the Colombo players to score only 05 points for the entire quarter while they on the other hand went on to score a magnum of 36 points. Sulochana Sewwandi and Sulanji Gunawijaya had a brilliant time on the court.

At Full time the scores read as 79- 34 in favour of Navy

The top scoreres for the Navy team was Sulani Gunawijaya and Sulochana Sewwandi who scored 24 and 20 points respectively. Yasara Siriwardena chipped in with 12 points for the Colombo side.
