The gentle giant, Dinuk Amarasinghe, who stole the spotlight after his splendid performances in the 2018 Asia Sevens Series and the concluded Dialog Rugby League, has decided to switch from Havelock SC to CR & FC ahead of the upcoming rugby league.

Hailing from St. Anthony’s College Kandy, the 2017 Eagles skipper, played a vital role as a junior Tusker representing the Junior National team from 2016 to 2018 in almost every event that took place. He later made his National debut at the Asia Sevens Series in 2018 and displayed his full potential.

He made it into the club arena wearing the pink jersey in 2017 and donned the #13 jersey for 2 seasons. Last year, Amarasinghe showed off that his off-loading skill is unmatched, as he created many tries for his side with the silky back-hand, pop-pass and basket-ball passes.

Two tries and a magnificent support ……..

However, speaking to ThePapare.com, Amarasinghe stated that he needs “A fresh start for the upcoming club season” – and also went on to add that he will “never forget Havies”.  According to the young Centre, CR & FC will help him reach new boundaries in the sport and help him explore new horizons as he looks forward to making a statement.
