LB Finance vs Commercial Credit

Star-studded Commercial Credit side clinched a 5-wicket win over LB Finance in their game played at P. Sara Oval grounds.

After being sent into bat, LB Finance posted 267 for 9 from their 50 overs with opening batsman Dhananjaya De Silva leading the way, scoring a cracking 118. Left-arm spin twins, Sachith Pathirana and Malinda Pushpakumara claimed 2 wickets each while seamer Lahiru Gamage was the pick of the bowlers claiming 4 scalps.

Chasing 268, Commercial Credit chase was given a solid start by captain Upul Tharanga who made a quick-fire 48 but experienced Jehan Mubarak and young Lahiru Madushanka guided their team to the winning line scoring brilliant, unbeaten knocks of 84 and 46 respectively.

Hatton National Bank managed to scrape through to a fine 19-run win over the fancied John Keells Holdings outfit in their game played at MCA grounds.

Madawa Warnapura top scored for HNB with an unbeaten 92 while Minhaj Jaleel and Malith Cooray slammed fifties to help their firm post 226 for 5 from their 50 overs after being asked to bat first.

In reply, JKH batting faltered to the spin of skipper Sajeewa Weerakoon and medium pace of Malith Cooray as they were bundled out for 207. Most batsmen got starts but none of them converted them into a match-winning score.

Dimo vs Kanrich Finance

Dimo spinners rattled Kanrich Finance to record a convincing 37-run win in their game played at Surrey Village Grounds in Maggona.

In a game reduced to only 46 overs, Dimo, batting first posted a commanding 251 for 8 from their allotted quota of overs. Pulina Tharanga slammed a half-century for Dimo while Akila Dananjaya took 3 wickets for Kanrich.

Yohan Mendis and Roshan Laksiri made half-centuries but Kanrich Finance was bowled out for just 214, handing an easy win for Dimo.

Sampath Bank vs Hayleys PLC

Kaushal Silva, who is hoping to make a return to the Sri Lanka Test team in the upcoming series against Pakistan played a match-winning knock to help Sampath Bank beat Hayleys by 5 wickets at De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa.

Silva, the captain of Sampath Bank made an unbeaten 82 as Sampath Bank chased down a target of 203 with more than 10 overs to spare.

Earlier, after being sent into bat, Hayleys managed only 202 for the loss of 9 wickets. Maduranga Zoysa top-scored with 36 while leg-spinning all-rounder Jeewan Mendis scalped three wickets for the winners.
