The Peterites who have a reputation for stirring upsets, ended Trinity’s four-week long undefeated tag opening the 2017 Schools Rugby League title run wide open.

After two days of breathtaking action in the 1st week of the second round, the Singer League has now opened up with four teams in close contention for the coveted title.

With the Trinitians losing to a fighting Peterite outfit, no team in the league now has the unbeaten cushion with them and the points table look very competitive as four teams lock horns head to head with decimal numbers differentiating the four apart.

Isipathana College, Royal College and Wesley College registered wins in the 1st week of the 2nd round while Trinity College lost out to St. Peter’s after an enthralling 80 minutes of play at Bambalapitiya.
