Colombo FC had an easy win against Matara City while Air Force needed a late goal to defeat New Youngs in the Dialog Championos League group stage week 6 encounters.
Afis adds a double as Colombo scores four
Afis Olayemi scored two goals as Colombo FC defeated Matara City 4-0 at the Matara Football Complex.
Afis opened the scoring in the 23rd minute while Ahamed Shazny made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. Minutes before half time Danushka Madushanka scored as the visitors went into half time with a 3-0 lead.
Soon after half time Afis scored his 2nd but the visitors were unable to add more to their tally till the end.

Nipuna Bandara’s late goal gives Air Force the win
Nipuna Bandara scored with six minutes remaining to give Air Force a 2-1 win against New Youngs at the Air Force grounds in Ekala.
It was the visitors who took the early lead with I.Sogah scoring in the 18th minute and led at half time.
Dimuthu Lakmal Gunasinghe equalized in the 52nd minute and after a keen tussle Bandara was able to find a winner in the 84th minute.
