Four matches of the Sri Lanka Cricket Premier League Tier A Super Eights continued around the island today (2nd February). 

Army vs Saracens 

 Centuries from Gamindu Kanishka and Nipun Karunanayake helped Saracens secure first innings points in their encounter against Army SC.

Chamikara Edirisinghe and Andy Solomons also hit half centuries while Dushan Vimukthi toiled hard to capture 4/137 for Army SC.

Army batting a second time around ended the day on 37/0, as they still trail Saracens by a further 129 runs.

 Chile Marians vs CCC

 Chilaw Marians who trailed CCC in the first innings, came from behind to record a stunning 14-run outright victory.

 Chasing 271 for victory, CCC were bowled out for 256 with Wanindu Hasaranga making a half century.

 Sagar Paresh was the hero with the ball for Marians as he went on to capture a staggering 11 wickets in the match.

 Colts vs Tamil Union 

Jeevan Mendis’ century went in-vain as Colts dominated proceedings in their encounter against Tamil Union.

Tamil Union made 315 all-out after Colts made a daunting 615 thanks to a superb double century by Avishka Fernando.

Colts who opted not to enforce the follow-on, ended the day on 141/3, with Fernando hitting another half century.
