Nepal U16 Head Coach Sunil Kumar Shrestha said Birjesh Chaudhary, Prithivi Chaudhary & Roshan Rana Magar are the three players he is having hopes on if Nepal are to perform well in the South Asia – Japan U16 Football Exchange Four Nations Tournament.

“Birjesh is a forward, Prithivi is a defender while Roshan Rana is a midfielder. These three players will be important for us in the three matches,” Shrestha added at the pre-tournament press conference.

Also speaking at the Press Conference was Technical Director Chiaki Takeda.

“The players need to get the basics in first. That is something I see is lacking in Nepal. South Asian countries need to have good programmes and what should change and improve is the tactical side of football.”

“Football is the most played sport in Nepal and the youngsters are upto the task. I know they will play their best. These guys have been in the academy for two years, so they’ve had good training,” Shrestha added.

“We know about Bhutan and Sri Lanka but not much about Japan and we don’t think the soft ground conditions will be an issue for us,” he finally mentioned.
