For the 7th Consecutive year the ‘Battle of the Saints’ – In Qatar will take off between the Old Boys of two of the most distinguished Catholic Schools in Sri Lanka, St. Joseph’s College and St. Peter’s College, on the 17th of November , 2017 at the QP Grounds in Mesaieed, Qatar.

This event is the most awaited sporting event in the calendar of all Old Joes and Old Petes living in Qatar and brings together two schools that have dominated the sport for many years previously, giving birth to some of the most prominent names of Cricket on a global forum.
This year will be no different to the previously concluded Cricket encounters between the Old Boys of the leading Catholic Schools now living in Qatar, there will be cricket matches between both the 1st XI team – Captained by Suren Perera (Joes) and Malinda Perera (Petes) and B team, led by, Roshan Lokubalasuriya (Joes) and Roger Edwards (Petes), battling it out to win glory for their alma mater and promises to be as always, competition at its highest level. The sporting event will also showcase a Family cricket match, where family members of players and other members will also compete.
To grace this year’s event, Rev.Fr. Trevor Martin – Rector, St. Peter’s College, Colombo will be present as the honorary chief guest for the occasion.
