The 5th Carlton Cup Basketball Tournament  is to kick off Celebrating The Game, The Passion, and The People.

It’s time to celebrate, ‘Basketball’. True, for many of us, basketball enthusiasts, we do not need a special time of the year to celebrate it. All that counts is a free evening, couple of good friends and a basketball ring. But the sports wing of ‘Tharunyata Hetak’ makes the celebration exclusive; Hambantota Sports Club presents the most extravagant basketball tournament in the country, Carlton Cup 2013, for the fifth consecutive year. Already an attention gainer as the finest of all tournaments, the Carlton Cup is about to take on major innovations this year.

The Hambantota Sports Club’s sole aim, as the coordinators, is to invite all the basketball enthusiasts to be a part of the journey to “Celebrate Basketball” in Sri Lanka: to promote the game; create passion among youth and give opportunity to all the people around the country.
