Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka: Fixtures released!

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will play their first international assignment after ICC World Cup 2019, on 26th July in Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium.

The tournament will be a short 3-match ODI series and all the matches are scheduled as D/N matches. 

The tournament’s future was in doubt after the Easter Sunday attacks as Bangladesh Cricket Board, BCB, awaited the security clearance for the tour, but after a few discussions between two governing bodies, officials have decided to continue the tour under high security.

The squads have not been announced for the tournament by both teams and it is confirmed that MVP of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 so far, Shakib Al Hasan will not be participating in the tour as the all-rounder has requested for some rest after an exhausting World Cup campaign.

Bangladesh Men’s Cricket team will arrive to the island on 23rd July and is set to leave the country on 1st of August.
