National & Junior National Aquatic Champs 2013 Organized By The Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union was held from the 26th-29th September at the Sugathadasa Stadium.

Six senior and three junior national records were set including one Sri Lanka record at the National and Junior Aquatic championship 2013 that splashed off yesterday at the Sugathadasa swimming complex yesterday.

Four swimmers obtained qualify timings to book their tickets to the Youth Olympic Games to be held in Nanjing 2014 at the 4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships concluded at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Sports Complex in Dubai recently.

Matthew Abeysinghe secured the first ever medal for Sri Lankan swimming at the Asian Youth Games on the eve of the close of the 2nd Asian Youth Games in Nanjing on Friday night.

Sri Lankan swimmers returned to the island yesterday having established two national records at the Barcelona 2013 FINA World Championships concluded in Spain recently.

Ladies College won the overall championships of the National Age Group Synchronized Swimming Championships 2013 concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium Pool yesterday.

The Sri Lankan School’s diving championships took place on the 20-22nd of June at the Sughathadasa Stadium Swimming Complex.

The highlight of the second day was the competition each school put to topping the chart. This adds more heat to the table than anything else. The tents representing each school were on fire as their school mates were closing up to the finishing lines.

The all-island Schools Aquatic championships that was organized by the Sri Lanka Schools’ Aquatic Sports Association kicked off on the 19th of June 2012 at Sugathadhasa Stadium
