LB Finance defeated Hayleys Group in the 27th Singer MCA Premier League Championship game to remain unbeaten in the tourney and also to get an untouchable lead in the table making the rest of the games dead-rubbers.
LB Finance won the toss and opted to bowl first at the fairly quick P. Sara Oval surface backing the fleet of pacemen in their team. They bore results soon in the game as the right-arm speedster Lahiru Kumara delivered with early in roads. He ended up at the top of the bowling chart with outlandish figures of 4 wickets for 6 runs. Assisting the young quick, off-spinner Shehan Jayasuriya picked up 3 wickets while newbie Shiran Fernando accounted for 2 scalps with his right-arm seam.
